Symbolic ‡ Tentacles This remaster is a big improvement. Made me appreciate the original more than i initially did. The sound clarity is sublime. Not only it includes some of the most wishful remixes, but the outtakes are adjusted to rival the rest of the album. As for the music it sounds like slightly gothic Front 242, which is intriguing, but with guitars that makes your usual EBM's beat grow another pair of Richard 23's canned glasses. And with the definitive version of VORTEX my cybergrind is finally fullfilled. Favorite track: Vortex (Extended Mix).

Spahn Ranch was formed in 1992 in Los Angeles by New Yorkers Matt Green and Rob Morton. In 1993, the band added vocalist and lyricist Athan Maroulis. SR went on to make career-defining albums such as 'The Coiled One' in 1995 and 'Architecture' in 1997. In less than 8 years, Spahn Ranch cut 5 studio albums, 4 EPs and did over 200 concerts in a dozen countries before calling it a day in late 2000. ... more
